Our Story

How we met

Cami and Blake to write. A few paragraphs, in whichever of your voices is funnier. Where you met, who spoke first, and the detail you both still argue about.

San Francisco

Our favorite places to walk, eat and wander, starting with the Marina, Pacific Heights and the Presidio.

The Marina, Pacific Heights & the Presidio

Our favorite walk, from Fillmore Street down to the water.

  1. Fillmore Street. Start with the shops on Fillmore in Pacific Heights.
  2. Presidio Tunnel Tops. A great view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
  3. Crissy Field & Marina Green. Head down to the water along the beach.
  4. Chestnut Street & Union Street. Finish on Chestnut in the Marina and Union in Cow Hollow.

More to see

Ocean Beach & Lands End

Get a coffee at Andytown Coffee Roasters in the Outer Richmond (the best matcha and lattes), right across from Ocean Beach, the city’s main beach. Then walk to the Sutro Baths and the Lands End Trail for beautiful views of the water and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Golden Gate Park

Museums, the Japanese Tea Garden, the Conservatory of Flowers and the bison paddock. Beautiful to walk around.

Alamo Square

See the Painted Ladies, the Full House houses. Grab a snack nearby at The Mill or Bi-Rite Market.

Marin

Hike or bike Mt. Tam, then get Hook Fish burritos afterwards.

Close to the wedding

In and around Nob Hill and North Beach.

  • Tonga Room (Fairmont): a famous tiki bar with indoor “rain” storms, a short walk from the cathedral and fun for out-of-town guests.
  • Top of the Mark (Mark Hopkins): cocktails with a 360° city view.
  • Swan Oyster Depot (Polk St): a counter-only seafood institution. Expect a line.
  • Tony’s Pizza Napoletana: a North Beach classic.
  • Buena Vista Cafe: famous for its Irish coffee, at the foot of the Hyde Street cable car line.
  • Tosca Cafe and Vesuvio Cafe: classic bars, good for a nightcap.

Where we met

Balboa Cafe

A very classic San Francisco bar, with espresso martinis on tap. Come have a drink where it all started.
